The foot is an incredibly intricate and dynamic part of the body composed of a network of bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles. We often don’t realise how important our feet are, until they start to hurt.
Our feet are responsible for absorbing shock and distributing force evenly throughout our bodies as it hits the ground. When the feet fail to do this, the pain refer to other areas of the body including the knee, hip or back area. This shows the importance having balanced feet and how even slight changes in its mechanics can lead to problems throughout other areas of the body.
Some foot and ankle conditions we see are:
Anterior Compartment Syndrome
Bunion, Toe Misalignment
Other Toe and Feet Issues
If you have experienced a foot injury or find yourself in pain when your foot hits the ground, our team can help in assessing, diagnosing and treating the source of your pain. In the meantime, if you are experiencing redness, swelling or pain, ensure you ice the area and lighten the pressure of weight you apply to it until you can see a medical professional.
